When I was commissioned to create tiny ikura inari jewellery, I bought myself an actual ikura sushi and observed each individual roe closely.
Only then did I realise that wow, there is a tiny drop of orange liquid in each ikura, and it always floats to the top no matter how you spin it around. So I actually made the tiny orange liquid sacs in each miniature ikura as well, but well, they're so unbelievably small the camera could never pick it up.
Anyone care to let me know what the orange liquid ball is, I have an inkling it's some bio knowledge which I'm lost on because I only took physics and chemistry in school. 😅
